Putting these instructions in my own words.

Throw three coins six times.

0 head - - (yang unstable)
1 head - - (yin stable)
2 head --- (yang stable)
3 head --- (yang unstable)

Forms one hexagram (combo of upper and lower trigrams) which corresponds in I Ching.  This is the answer to the question posed.  This hexagram will transform into another hexagram when the unstable flip to show the future.
